You can earn a chance to win next week's drawing, simply by nominating your favorite local businesses for our very first Macaroni Kid Wilkes-Barre Gold Daisy Awards! Everyone who has nominated is already entered into next week's drawing, but feel free to add more businesses to your nomination if you'd like. Please remember: all nominated businesses should be located in the Macaroni Kid Wilkes-Barre territory. We cover from route 29 to the Lackawanna River, out to Harveys Lake and everything in between.
Throughout the year, Macaroni Kid brings you the scoop. Now it is YOUR turn to tell us YOUR family’s top go-to choices to enrich, entertain, and EXHAUST your kids. We want to know about the businesses that just plain make your life easier as a parent! Let’s make this a FUN way to highlight the wonderful local businesses that make the Wilkes-Barre and surrounding areas a fabulous place to live, shop, eat, and play!
How Do You Get Started?
From now through May 22, 2017, simply nominate your favorite businesses! Nominate as many or as few businesses as you would like. Businesses must be locally owned and operated in the Macaroni Kid Wilkes-Barre territory. We cover from Hanover Township to the Lackawanna River, out to Harveys Lake and everything in between. ONLY ONE submission per email address please; you must be a subscriber to the newsletter to nominate. You can subscribe HERE. The top 5 businesses in each category will move on to the voting stage.
What's In It For You?
Nominate your favorites (at least 10 categories) and you will be entered for a chance to win one of three $20 gift cards to a local business of your choice, compliments of Macaroni Kid Wilkes-Barre. We will be drawing a winner every week during the nomination process and one at the end of the voting process!
What's In It For The Businesses?
We will announce the winners of each category in an upcoming issue on June 26, 2017. The winning business in each category will receive free placement in our Business Directory for yearlong recognition on our Macaroni Kid website, a 2017 Macaroni Kid Gold Daisy Awards certificate to display at their place of business, and the honor of knowing that local Luzerne County families think they are the greatest!
