Join Frances Slocum State Park for their Heritage Day and Fall Festival! Enjoy free admission and the chance to press your own apple cider. Experience a variety of engaging activities throughout the day, including music, live animals, demonstrations, food vendors, crafts, history, and more! Don’t miss special presentations such as “Cryptids with Karley Stasko” at 1:00 PM, a live animal show with Wildlife Encounters at 2:00 PM, and folk music by Matt Miskie at 3:00 PM. All day displays will include: 24th Connecticut Militia regiment, spinning and wool work, face painting, natural dyes demonstration, crosscut saws, blacksmith, Nanticoke Conservation Club, Master Gardeners, Dept. of Health, crafts for kids, cider press demo, D.A.R/C.A.R., Luzerne Historical Society, Forestry, live reptiles and amphibians, taxidermy mounts, Native American artifacts, and old fashion brain teaser games.
