The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Luzerne County
The SPCA’s mission is the prevention of cruelty to animals by providing:
- Shelter for unwanted, discarded, neglected and often abused animals.
- An adoption program to place these animals into caring, permanent homes.
- Humane education programs to enlighten the public about animal welfare & issues.
- Humane law enforcement and prosecution programs to address & help prevent animal cruelty.
Shelters exist worldwide because of overpopulation! There are too many animals and not enough homes.

Adoptions:
Dog Adoption Fee: $120
Cat Adoption Fee: $65 (or $70 with Rabies Shot)
