The West Pittston Library is the oldest library in Luzerne County. Twenty community members serve on the Board of Trustees, and the library employs one full-time director, one part-time youth services coordinator, one part-time business manager, and five part-time circulation assistants.

To enrich the lives of community members by creating an environment for growth, discovery, and connection.
The library fulfills this mission by:
-creating and implementing innovative programs
-developing a collection of materials that fits the interests and needs of community members
-offering a safe, friendly space to children, teens, adults, and seniors
