HOW DID THAT FOAM PARTY GUY GET STARTED?
We asked Mark Krokos, local teacher and owner of That Foam Party Guy, how did you get the idea to start offering this awesome service?
"I always liked bubbles and my daughter and I started doing little bubble shows for fun at our house. We would make all kinds of bubbles big and small, and played music while we did it. We even performed our little bubble show for local libraries, a birthday party or two, and at my school for drive through graduation parades. I always thought foam machines were exciting but so expensive. During the pandemic I saw a commercial foam machine at a big box store but it did not look very impressive for the price so I decided to build my own. With not much to do and no where to go, I did some research online and built my own machine to use in our neighborhood. Everyone loved it and it was a blast to use. At my neighbors request I did a foam party for their daughter's birthday. Someone took notice of pictures on Facebook and asked if I would make foam at their daycare locations. Sure enough it was a huge success! I then decided that I would make everything official for this summer. I made some contacts and networked with other people around the country that have foam party companies. I then created my logo and then designed the company website. I also upgraded my equipment and switched to a foam solution that is hypoallergenic, pet safe, dye free, and eco friendly. Paring all that together with my teaching background and love of children the company is off to a great start." - Mark Krokos
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW TO HOST A FOAM PARTY?
What is needed?
To host an event, you need to provide a standard 3 prong electrical outlet and garden hose connection within 100 feet of the foam cannon. That Foam Party Guy will provide hose, the extension chords, etc.
What is the foam?
Foam Daddy Solution, which does not burn you eyes. The foam is dye free, safe for grass, pet friendly, and hypo-allergenic. That means it is not toxic, will not stain, and even eco-friendly! Consider your children, pets, and the environment, including lawns and gardens, safe.
What Clean up is required?
No clean up required…if left alone the foam will simply go away on its own. If you need the area cleaned up quickly, just spray the foam with a hose and it will dissolve away completely. Remember, after clean up, the area will still be wet.
Do guests get wet at the foam party?
The foam solution produces a "dry" foam, but making foam requires water. The longer you stay in the foam the more saturated your clothing will become. Make sure you have towels available for guests.
What should guests wear?
Lightweight shorts and shirts are best. Swimsuits are recommended for anyone who will play in the foam for a longer period of time. Remember the foam is dye free and will not stain.
