May 29th and July 4th are the 2022 fish for free days in Pennsylvania

Fish-for-Free Days allow anyone (resident or non-resident) to legally fish on Pennsylvania waterways on the designated days with NO FISHING LICENSE REQUIRED! All other fishing regulations still apply.

2022 PA Fish-for-Free Days are on Sunday, May 29th and Monday, July 4th

Trout & Salmon permits are also not required and you can find a list of Trout stocked water in PA here

Here is a list of Trout stocked water in Luzerne County:

  • Frances Slocum Lake
  • Francis E. Walter Reservoir (Bear Creek Reservoir) (Carbon / Luzerne)
  • Harvey’s Lake (see miscellaneous special regulations)
  • Lake Irena
  • Lake Took A While (Riverlands)
  • Lehigh River – (Carbon / Luzerne) Carbon/Luzerne county line from outlet of F.E. Walter Reservoir downstream to confluence with Sandy Run
  • Lily Lake
  • Moon Lake
  • Sylvan Lake
