Now that school is over, or almost over, it's time for swimming, summer picnics, bazaars, and one of my favorites - fairs! The amazing food, entertainment, exhibits, games, animals, and the thrill of the rides makes it fun for the whole family to enjoy. The first one to our area this season is an award winning fair, located in the heart of NEPA.
The Northeast Fair entertainment lineup currently includes daily national and regional musical acts, auto thrill shows, many nationally recognized family shows, educational segments, special contests, numerous community group shows, and much more.
You'll enjoy Wolves of the World, a butterfly encounter, a petting zoo, Buffo, the World's Strongest Clown, and World Record Balloon Stunt Show Starring James Johnson, along with performances and many other entertainers. Ron Diamond, Hypnotist and Magician will also be returning this year. We stopped to watch his hilarious and entertaining show last year. I definitely recommend it. Motorsports also include Championship Double Figure 8 Auto Racing, Compact Car Demolition Derby, and Monster Truck Freestyle.
There are hundreds of agricultural exhibits and competitive events where all 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners receive cash awards and other prizes. First place winners of several competitions advance to the Pennsylvania State Farm Show to compete for the title of Pennsylvania's Best, along with various other contests, events, and educational segments from 4 stages.
The fair also features over 25 amusement park style rides from Reithoffer Shows, America's largest amusement company. A complete lineup and showtimes can be found by visiting www.northeastfair.com.
The Northeast Fair starts Tuesday, June 20th and runs through Sunday, June 25, 2017. Fair opening hours are Tuesday through Friday, June 20-23: 5:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday, June 24 & 25: 1:00 pm. Click here for directions.
Admission into the fair includes unlimited free rides, parking, exhibits, shows, contests, concerts, motorsports shows, and educational segments. Pay one price at the gate every day for only $10 or advanced tickets can be purchased at a discount through June 19, 2017, on the Northeast Fair website. Ages 2 and under are free!
